Autosounds started way back in 1972 in the form of Sungold Autoelectrics, formed by David Coates. Ten years later, Sungold Autosounds Ltd was established.

Today both companies are operating independently and from separate premises, with a successful trading background and a wealth of knowledge of car electronics and after-market products.

Autosounds are located on Scotswood Rd, near to the Redheugh Bridge, and have a showroom with full demo facilities, workshops and offices. They also employ a network of engineers who carry out installations to the fleet and motor insurance industries.

There are five divisions within the company:
Car Audio - Car Security Sales
Mobile Phones Sales
Workshops
Radio Repairs
Insurance/Fleet National

Autosounds has ISO 9002 accreditation and is working towards Investment In People. They take training very seriously and will only deal with manufacturers that have a training program. All employees are assessed annually and given a development program to help the company remain one of the leading suppliers in the industry.

Their products cover all major makes of Car Audio, Car Security and Mobile Phones. David and his team would welcome the opportunity for you to allow them to assist you, and they will always endeavour to give you a personal and professional service.

Car interiors are full of materials that obstruct and degrade sound quality. Graphic and parametric EQs are only partial remedies for these problems. In addition, the speakers are not located at equal distances from listeners, creating an unbalanced, uncentred sound stage. Time correction can help fix this, but only for one listening position.

These acoustical problems are so severe that no correction system has been able to overcome them. Until now, claims Alpine. With the introduction of IMPRINT, Alpine provides a hardware/ software combination that not only claims to solve these problems, it actually improves the sound stage, tonal balance and definition — and does it automatically, in a matter of minutes.
