Very happy with this purchase, does everything i could want from portable dvd player. Great for the Car and Home. Has several good features i wouldnt expect for sub £100 including, anti skip, USB and DivX. Plays all my DVD's (inc forign ones) and CD's.
Recomended!

I bought this for my son as a gift and have been really stunned at the performance for the price.
It plays DVD's perfectly as you would expect but also plays my DivX movies, CDs, MP3s and photos. Basically just about everything on a disk !!
Battery life is a good 2 hrs plus, which covers all his movies. Its even bounced a few times, as you may expect from a 9 year old. So far so good. Still playing well.
No complaints whatsoever and it certainly beats other portable DVD players which are far more expensive.
The matching headrest bag may be the next purchase from Amazon, as a better way of using it in the car. Certainly gets it out of the way of potential drinks spills. Something for the long drive at half term perhaps.
Happy child so a happy parent...

I bought this player for my son to use while in hospital, so wasn't looking for anything long-lasting or sophisticated. However, we have been pleasantly surprised by the spec and the quality. It reads well from USB, has a good battery life and a mains adaptor is included.
Just a few minor details which detract from its overall performance:
* Playing a DVD creates a lot of background buzz, so loud that it can be heard above the soundtrack on headphones.
* It doesn't automatically remember where you stopped and there is no fast-forward or reverse, so if you have to stop mid-item for any reason you have to start again from the beginning of the track (infuriating).
* The remote control is difficult to use as the signal needs to be directed squarely at the narrow front edge of the unit. Also we feel it would have been handy to have a docking port within the unit or on the lid to slide the remote into when not in use to prevent it getting lost.
* No carrying case.
But all in all, very useful as a cheap portable.
