Having come to rely absolutely on my Garmin to get me around the UK I just had to buy this for our US touring holiday.
Installation worked fine and I switched it on for real at the car rental in JFK to get to Delaware. I was taken smoothly across New York and arrived intact. Even better, my wife could see the sights rather than get stressed over a map. Worth its price just for that afternoon.
If you have your Garmin set to avoid tolls so you keep out of the London Congestion Charge zone, you might want to turn that option off in the US or your routes may be a bit circuitous!

Bought this upgrade for my Nuvi 350 for a holiday in Florida. Wasn`t sure if it was going to be worth my while but after two weeks use in a newly visited country and having driven around 2000 miles it proved to be an absolute godsend. The mapping appeared to be comprehensive and accurate, and points of interest such as car hire return depots, ATMs, garages, supermarkets and restaurants used successfully on numerous occasions. Having been a bit of a sceptic about sat nav, and being of an age of driver used to planning every route using a map, I now wouldn`t be without it. Thoroughly recommended.

Garmin Maps of Full North America on SD-Card/microSD
I bought this SD card with street level mapping for North America and Canada, prior to us going on a trip to visit friends in the US.
To be honest I was sceptical, as how could it be as easy as just inserting an SD card??
The card arrived and the install instructions said to simply insert the SD card into the slot on my Garmin Sat Nav (Nuvi 265WT), and then switch it on. Select either US or Canada and you are ready to go......
It really was that easy. Plus unlike other Sat Navs, because the UK and Europe mapping is stored on the internal memory, when you add the card it does not wipe anything and all your previous UK and/or European destinations/favourites/recent trips are retained.
When we got to the States we used the Sat Nav regularly with our hire car, and managed to tour much of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Long Island and finally into Manhattan with no problems at all.
The only thing we did have to change was the guidance voice. We changed from British English (female) to American English (female) as the British voice had problems with some of the pronounciation of place names and certain words (like boulevard). The American voice managed them without a problem.
This is without doubt the best and most cost effective gadget upgrade I have ever bought and I would recommend it to anyone travelling to the US. Plus by taking my windscreen suction mount and in-car charger cable, I had no issues with the battery going flat or positioning of the unit and could use it all the time.

For several weeks, prior to a holiday with friends in Orlando, I deliberated over the purchase of an SD card (Map of the USA). Following the reviews of this product I decided to go ahead & buy the item to use with my Garmin 205w Sat Nav.
Following our flight from Gatwick, the journey to our accomodation in Davenport was made more difficult by the fact that it was conducted 'in the dark', however, the Sat Nav performed brilliantly & we arrived at our accomodation very easily & without any problems.
The purchase proved a boon whilst in the Orlando area & it directed us without fault to any location we chose. I would highly recommend this product to anyone travelling in the US. Note that I only used it in a relatively small area of Florida, but I believe it would it be an even better purchase for those travelling further afield.

Taken on a holiday to Florida last November. Worked well in our Nuvi 255; got us around Orlando, Tampa, the Everglades and Cape Canaveral with no fuss. Recommended product.
