The Mac OS X installer crashes (on version 10.5.1). The map-installer from the Garmin website is no better.
Under Vista you can install new maps to the main unit from the DVD. To install extra maps to the SD card I had to download the map installer from the Garmin website.

I was disappointed by this update for roads in Ireland. I travel about 1,000km per week around Ireland and there are several roads still not on this update. A section of the M9 isn't there. A road opened in 2007 in Waterford City is not on it. The N11 Gorey bypass is not on it - I would not spend the money on updates again.

Mac update crashes on Leopard 10.5.3.
I had to go through VMWare Fusion and XP which I own to make it happen.
The overall quality of the Maps is not improved (I live in Italy) compared with the 2006 version I had pre-installed on my GPS unit. There are still erros and uncovered areas that were in that shape 2 years ago. The only bonus is Czech Republic and Slovenia coverage, if you need to get there.
