Alpine Introduces IMPRINT Technology
Car interiors are full of materials that obstruct and degrade sound quality. Graphic and parametric EQs are only partial remedies for these problems. In addition, the speakers are not located at equal distances from listeners, creating an unbalanced, uncentred sound stage. Time correction can help fix this, but only for one listening position.
These acoustical problems are so severe that no correction system has been able to overcome them. Until now, claims Alpine. With the introduction of IMPRINT, Alpine provides a hardware/ software combination that not only claims to solve these problems, it actually improves the sound stage, tonal balance and definition — and does it automatically, in a matter of minutes. New Sunseekers wired for Alpine sound
The world's most prominent luxury yacht manufacturer, Sunseeker, has again chosen Alpine for on-board entertainment systems on its latest motor yachts being launched at the 2007 Southampton boat show.
The Predator 52 is a high-performance motor yacht designed for high-speed cruising and as a platform for watersports. Inside the spacious saloon, with its semicircular seating plan, is a fully-integrated Alpine entertainment system. An LCD flatscreen and Alpine's DVA-9861Ri DVD/CD head unit with surround sound works with the ergonomics of the living area, creating a cinema-sound effect. The central entertainment head unit also runs speakers into the command cockpit.
The new Manhattan 52 joins the fleet as Sunseeker's entry-level flybridge yacht. Flatscreen televisions grace all the cabins, and Alpine CDA-9883R radio/CD systems are found in all the staterooms. The CDA-9883R in the cockpit is controlled with an AOU71 remote, which features its own digital display, and is fully waterproof. MORE INFO HERE
